There are no Ghettos in heaven

There are no Ghettos in Heaven
A Chuck Weiskircher poem © 5/28/2014

Heaven was created to house God’s chosen
It is always pleasant there and never frozen.
God does not make mistakes or junk
You will not get there carrying a trunk.

There is no place there that’s better than another
Each mansion is good enough for someone’s mother.
There is no separate ghetto or some dark “Hood”
The whole city has been inspected and deemed good.

Everyone who is invited is welcomed home
You will not find some old garden gnome.
Each place has been specially prepared
Those who live there will never be scared.

Red and yellow, black and white
We are all precious in Jesus sight.
No one will be living separated by race
Everyone will live together filled with grace.

Day and night God’s light will shine
And at God’s table we will all dine.
The fair will be satisfying and tasty
While eating no one will act hasty.

Those who have gone on before us
May even be singing in God’s chorus.
They will be happy to greet us with a kiss
The love we will feel will fill us with bliss.

So when you finally get beyond heaven’s gate
You will not feel as if you got there late.
This life will be over, no more will you Rome
Everyone in heaven will say welcome home.
