The Peace of God

Peace
The Peace of God
Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In everyone’s life there will be worries. Some days will have more and other days less. This message is saying that you do not need to let your worries make you anxious (feeling like you are all alone and self-dependent in the midst of your trials) and indeed, you should not be anxious.
Whenever you feel worries taking over your life, give them to God by prayer. Go to him and tell him everything that is going on and your part in it all. Petition God for help in meeting your needs (not your wants, your needs)!
Thank God for all he has done (giving you food, shelter, clothing) and for what he will do (to help ease your mind especially).

Then the peace of God which is beyond knowing will be yours. You will gain a sense of peace and unity with the creator of the universe. This sense of peace will watch over you; it will guard your heart and mind like a military sentry to keep anxiety out. The peace you feel when you know your life has been reconciled with God and that he has accepted you can do wonders at reducing stress. The world around us may be falling apart and we may be falling down with it but God is in charge. We place ourselves into his hands and then let him move us as he desires. He is the potter and we are the clay. Even at the hour of our death when the end of our life here on earth is near we can enjoy our peace of and with God. With Jesus at your side, you will pass through the valley of the shadow of death undisturbed, and come to the city of peace, where they beat their swords into ploughshares, and learn and fear war no more.
